Aryz’ work is a critique of the contemporary city, both of its (lack of) colour and (lack of) differentiation. “What I’ve been working lately is repetitions and patterns, something which I feel today represents way of life, for both cities and societies”, Aryz said. Seeing skeletons as representative of this idea, emblematic of “human structures” in its widest sense, Aryz depicts the repetitive, often alienating (yet strangely alluring) composition of the modern city.
