Herbert Baglione

Herbert Baglione’s photographic portrait of São Paulo, Cidade Limpa or Clean City, is a portrait of a ‘complex city’ which often appears, as he says, to be in a state of ‘apparent abandonment’. In order to map this huge geographic space, Baglione collected ephemera lost to the city from each of its four geographic points. These elements were then used to form this photographic composition and will later be used as the basis for further artworks.
